FINAL ROUND OF TRIANGULAR.

To-morrow aftelrnoon, weather permitting, N the final round of the Triangular Shield contest Avill be played on the Foxton green, when two rinlkis each from Shannon*and Levin Clubs will meet four local rinks. The Foxton rinks will he Hinds, Howe, Heppner, Nye (s). iStevenson, Walton, Walker, Woods (s). Scadden, J. Newfch, Huntley, Mattaa* (s). ■Robinson, Easton, Christie, Thomson (s). Local bowlers are requested to 'bring a basket to assist with, the catering arrangements.

FOXTON RETAINS MANSON & BARIR lOUP.

On Saturday last a rink from Pahiatua Club visited Foxton in an endeavour to wrest the Manson and Baiir Cup from the holders, Thomson’s rink. They were, however, unsuccessful, the holders retaining the trophy by a margin of four points, having led all through' the game. The rinks and scores are as follows: —

Foxton: Warwick, John Ross, Nye, Thomson (s 1 ) 21; Pahiatua: P. Bissett, F. Blritland, A. Bissett, W. Britland (s) 17.

This is the fourth occasion on which Foxton has defended this trophy, having retained it against ehall|engtes fijom fyeviu, Shannon, Fketahuna and Pahiatua rinks. The next match will be on Saturday when Terrace End Club will send a rink to try conclusions with Thomson’s team.
