CONVENT SCHOOL CONCERT.
The annual concert by pupils of St. Mary’s Convent was held in the Town Hall on Thursday evening before a large and appreciative audience. A feature of the programme was tbe splendidly executed instrumental items which disclosed highly efficient training. The harmonised opening chorus was also excellent. The humorous gem of the evening was the three tottering, aged couples who sang the “Old Fashioned House,” their make-up and antics created roars of laughter. -“The Tramps,” a song by three lads, also came in for thunderous applause.
