TREATMENT OF T.B.

REV. WAiRD’S FORMULA AND

TREATMENT.

WILL BE SUBMITTED TO 'SPECIALIST. Auckland, Last Night. Following a communication from Dr. Valintine, Director-General of Health, the Rev. Edgar Ward today interviewed the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, in regard to the treatment of tuberculosis by his secret formula. Mr. Ward told the Minister that he had consulted his department 24 years ago, when he had solid ground for believing his treatment was effective. The department gave him no encouragement and declined to discuss the matter till lie had offered conclusive proof of the efficacy of the treatment. The Minister expressed surprise and asked Mr. Ward if lie was prepared to discuss his formula, and treatment with the superintendent of a sanatorium.

Mr. Ward agreed, subject to an assurance of secrecy, which was given by the Minister. Mr. Wflfc’d will probably place his formula and treatment before a specialist next week.
