'SUMMER. SHOW ON THURSDAY.

TWENTY-FIRST ANNIVERSARY

CELEBRATION.

The Foxton Horticultural Society’s Summer Show which will be held in the Town Hall on Thursday will niatrk the twenty-first anniversary of the local Society. To celebrate the event the Society has made .arrangements for a perpetual trophy, while the individual trophies are of a high order, all of which are now on exhibition at the C. M. Ross Go’s. shop. The Mayor of Wlellington (Mr. 0. A. Troup) will open the exhibition in the afternoon. Mr. Troup will be accompanied by his wife. The visitors will be met at Levin by Rev. Walton on Thursday and entertained to lunch after which they will malke an inspection of the school buildings prior to opening the show. In the evening a special concert programme has been arranged. A baby show will also be a special feature of this exhibition. Already the number of entry forms issued by the secretary indicate that the exhibition will be a record ns for as entries are concerned.

The exhibition will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. and - 7 to 10 a.in. It is to be hoped that the public will attend in large numbers in order to help the Society to fittingly celebrate its anniversary.
