NEW ZEALAND’S V.C.’s HONOURED.

MESSAGE TO THE PRINCE,

On Saturday night His Excellency the Governor-General sent the following cablegram to the Prince of Wales at London:— “Seven wearers of the Victoria. Gross who are dining with: me to-, night at Government House desire to' present their 'humble duty to Your Royal Highness, to express their loyalty to His Majesty the King, and to send'greetings to all old .comrades in arms. —Fergusson, Governor-General.” To this the Governor-General last night received the following reply:—■ “All. present - to-night’s Victoria Cross dinner thank Your Excellency and the seven New Zealand V.C.’s for their greetings which are heartily reciprocated.—Edward P.”
