The friends of Mr. F. Procter will he pleased to lean’ll that his (audition is-now much improved although it will he some time before he will he able to leave the Taumaranui Hospital.
The Mayor of Wellington Mr.* Troupe, has consented to open the local Horticultural .Society’s Summer Show on the 23rd inst. Mr. Troupe will be entertained at luncheon by the Society. The Rev. Hari Haiti, Huntly, was instituted Archdeacon of Te Tai Hanaru by Bishop Oherrington, at / Hamilton on Sunday. Air.- Haiti is the first Maori to be elevated to the dignity of archdeacon. The Rev. K. A. Ivaraka, Moiuinsville, was installed at Canon of St. Peter’s (Cathedral, at the same service. Bishop Bennett preached the sermon to a iai-ge congregation of Maoris and pnkehas. ' '
