FOXTON AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB.
A meeting of the above Club was held in Mr Hamer’s rooms on Saturday evening. There were pi’esent Messrs W. S. Ileyes (chairman), 11. Hamer, L. King, E. Morgan, L. Carter, ,T. Francis, A. East, J. K. Martni, J. Aldridge, €. Aldridge, B. cud R, Ohrystall, E. Hussey, D. and ,T. Satherley, J. Smith and the secretary (Mr I»- Couch). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs D. R, Barron, E. Robinson, E. Murphy, and W. R. Thompson.
The Secretary in outlining the financial position of the Club, said [hat the object of the meeting was to consider ways and means of reviving interest in the club which meant that members would have to Tie prepared to throw their energies into the preliminary work of forming a c-yeje track on Easton Park if this was to be successfully accomplished.
The matter was thoroughly discussed and Mr Hamer generously offered to procure several trophies which could be competed for while the work of forming the track was under way. The date of the annual meeting of the Club was fixed for the 30th October at 8 p.m.
