FARMING INTERESTS.
REPRESENTATION ON DEFENCE; committee.
There were present at the meeting of the Manawatu provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union in Palmerston North on Saturday, Messrs 0. P. Lynch (Patraparaiumi) chairman, /C.. Jensen (Tp Horp), J. Gloyn (Rongotea),' H-. Bowling (Maiiakau), A. G. Dean (Rongotea), B. G. Gower (Fox-ton), F. Maul (Palmerston North)', J. Bnlsillie (iPalmetrston North/, H. Denton (Levin), H. Mc-Leavey (Oliaii), LI. Bond (R-angiotu), and J. T. Kent (Waikanae). The secretary (Mr. Budden) was instructed to white the Sheepown--ei's’ Federation to the effect that the executive was dissatisfied with its representation on the federation since the division of the old Wellington provincial district. It was suggested that, the Wanganui, Wellington Central find Mqnawatp districts should elect their own representatives at the annual meeting and that these" should .constitute the representatives of the Wellington Defence committee. It was also decided to ask the chairman of the defence committee (Mr. Dalrvmple) to bring the-matter before the federation with, the view to its adoption
