SOCIAL EVENING

A most enjoyable social, evening was given in All Saints’ Sunday schoojroqm last evening, by the parishioners of the Orona. Downs district, when the schoolroom was taxed to its utmost capacity. Dancing and competitions were indulged in and an enjoyable time spent. Dancing was continued until a late hour, the music being supplied by Messrs T. East and W. Harris. During the evening Miss D. Davey rendered an elocutionary item and Miss L. Davey a vocal number. Competition winners were as follows: —Quoits: Miss E. McKenzie, and Mr. ,T. Oonlan; spot waltz: Mr. Chillies and Miss G(. (Coley; monte carlo: Miss L. Davey and Mr. S. Moffatt. i Much amusement was caused when the younger folk, began a search for the lucky seat, but the pianist occupied it, and so annexed the ]]|rize. A very dainty and tasty supper was handed round and credit is due to those responsible for the excellent evenings entertainment.
