RANGITIKEI CLERICAL ASSOCIATION.
The Rangitikei Clerical Association held its first meeting locally in Foxton on Tuesday in All Saints’ Vicarage, when Rev. W. H. -Walton presided. There were also present Revs. Canon Woodward (Palmerston North), I. Wiltshire, J. C. Abbott (Palmerston North), Ct. Young (Shannon), J. C*Davies (Levin), J. Moir (Otaki), R. B. White (Bulls), J. W. Burgin, G. H. Fenwick and H. B. Goetz (Ashliurst). An apology for absence was received from Rev. Canon Petrie who was to have read a paper,at. the meeting. In his unavoidable absence, however, Rev. ,1. C, Abbott read-'a paper' on pagan religions which proved very interesting. The visitors were entertained to luncheon at Wtills and afterwards a short service was conducted in All Saints’ (Church. On the 'resumption of the meeting in the afternoon the chairman took the opportunity of welcoming to, the Association throe m;w members, Revs. Canon G. Y. Woodward (P.N.), 11. B. Goetz (Ashliurst) and G. Young (Shannon). K was decided to hold the next mooting at Foilding, Rev. Canon Petrie’s Vicarage on (November 19.
