The annual meeting of the Methodist Ladies’ Guild was held yesterday at the parsonage, a large number of ladies being present. The treasurer, Miss Walker, presented the financial statement which was very encouraging and most satisfactory. Mrs. Cowley, secretary, presented the annual report which was of a most gratifying nature and was unanimously adopted. It was unanimously decided to purchase a piano for the school. The following officials were unanimously elected for the ensuing year: — President : Mrs. G. Horone; hon. secretary: Mrs. Cowley; hon. treasurer: Miss Walker. An interesting competition was won by Mrs. Hewett. A vote of thanks to the retiring officials brought a most enjoyable and pleasant meeting to a close.
