REPRESENTATIVE FIXTURES. Following is a .list of Manawhenua rep. fixtures: — August 17: Manawhenua v. Wairalrapa at Masterton (Shield challenge). August 24: Manawhenua Juniors v. Wanganui Juniors, at Wanganui. August 31: Manawhenua v. Ice’s Bay, at Napier. Manawhenua Juniors v. Wellington, at Levin. 'September 4: Manawhenua v. Southland, at Palmerston North. September 7: Manawhenua v. Wanganui at Levin. September 11: Manawhenua v. Taranaki, at Palmerston North. September 14: Manawhenua v. Wellington, at Wellinfton. In the past, Manawatu and Manawhenua teams have met Wairarapa on eight occasions and only once has victory been with this district. The fact that this single victory carried with it the ißanfurly Shield rather evens the debit balance, but even so our representatives have a lot of leeway to make up. Following in a record of the games played to date: — 1921 —Manawatu A lost 11 —33. 1923 — Manawatu A lost 3 —5. 1924 — Manawatu A lost 3 —21. 1927 —'Manawhenua lost 3- —23. 1927 — 'Manawhenua won 18 —16. 1928 — Manawhenua lost 20- —25. 1928 — Manawhenua lost 10 —31. 1929 — Manawhenua lost 10 —12. RANFURLY SHIELD MATCH. THE TEAMS.
