FOXTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

COMMITTEE MEETING. A committee meeting of the Foxton Horticpltujral Society was held in -Ross’s rooms on Tuesday evening. Those present were: Rev. Edmondson in chair, Messrs T. Hughes, N. Cjresswell, E. J. Murphy (secretary) / Mesdames K. Martin, E. Murphy, D. R. Ogilvy, F. Procter, E. 'BaJker. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs W. S. Heyes, D. Christie, Revs. W. H. Walton and IV. H. Nicholas, Jas. Ross, Mesdames Heasmon, S. Easton, Misses Gowei’, Hughes and J. Ross. It was decided to appoint Mrs. Clark, subject to consent, as judge of decorative class. (Stewards ware elected as follows: —'Section A and B, (subject to consent) Miss Speirs and Mrs. Ogilvy; C: Miss Hughes and Mrs. P. Easton; D: Miss J. Ross; E, (Novice Class: Mrs. E. Baker and Mrs. K. Martin; F and G, (fruit and vegetables): Rev. Nicholas; H, (decorative) : Miss L. Robinson; I: Mrs Trueman; J and K: Rev. Wialton. Accounts amounting to £>6 were passed for payment. Mrs. J. Martin was elected to tbe ladies’ committee. It was decided to add to the children’s cooking section a sponge sandwich, class (Rev. Edmondson’s special prize Ist 1/6, 2nd 1/-). A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
