ROAD FOREMAN’S REPORT. The road foreman \ Mr. A. G. Huntley) ; reported at Monday’s meetiiig that during the past month the (road staff had been engaged in the following work: — ‘Patching breaks in bitumen, Victoria Park and Union sitreet, discharging chips to dump, widening cutting in Avenue road (near cemetery), earting metal and patching ruts on Moutoa and Avenue roads, and weeding water channels, Wharf, Main and Union streets. Moutoa and iSandon roads had ‘been trimmed up with the l’oad grader, also Coley, Gook, Hillary, Jenlks and Thynne streets. The metal w r as slow in coming to hand and patching was being carried on as it arrived. The sand taken from cutting in Avenue road had been spread opposit-e. the cemetery and covered with weedings from channels, to prevent drift. —Adopted.
