LADY BOWLERS

INNOVATION INTRODUCED BY MR. CHRISTIE. An innovation Avas introduced at the annual meeting of the Foxton Bonding Club on Thursday evening, when Mr.~D. Christie (expresident) moved that ladies should be allowed to become active members of the Club. In introducing the innovation, Mr. Christie said that th ecroquet area at the green was somewhat restricted and af the ladies ivere alloAved to become bowlers they avould be able to indulge in a game while awaiting 'their turn on the croquet green. It was not proposed that any increase be made in the subscription but that- the usual Croquet Club fee should entitle the ladies to participate in play on the bowling green. < The motion was seconded by Mr. M. H. Walker and carried.
