PERSONAL.
The Education Board has appointed Miss F. M. Fizelle a substitute assistant on the staff of the local D.H. School in place of Mr. Scott, who has resigned. Mr. J. K. Hornblow has been appointed a member of the executive of the Hospital Boards’ Association of New Zealand. The 'appointment was made at a. meeting held in Wellington on Thursday. At Thursday night’s Chamber of Commerce meeting the vice-Presi-deiit (Mr. D. Christie) congratulated Mr. J. K. Hornblow on his election to the position of chairman of the Palmerston North Hospital Board, and on behalf of the Chamber expressed their confidence in liimi and bis capabilities of conducting the affairs of that institution. Mr. Hornblow thanked the Chamber for its congratulations.
