MOUTOA LAND UNDER WATER.

It is now about seven weeks since the first hood this season .inundated the Moutoa land and several thousands of acres are still under water. This land constitutes some of the best grazing land in the Dominion, and the loss to the settlers can be assessed at an average of 5/- per atetre. This will give some idea of the urgent necessity "for a scheme to deal with the flood menace.
