ALL SAINTS’, PALMERSTON N.
REV. G. W. Y. WOODWARD APPOINTED NEW VI'CIAR. Rev. G. W. Y. Woodward has been appointed by the Board of Nomination for the Diocese of Wellington as vicar of All iSaints’ parish, Palmerston North. He will succeed Rev. Canon W. Fancourr, who is proceeding to St. James’s, in Auckland. It is interesting to note that the first appointment held by Rev. Mr. Woodward was in the parish of All Saints’ in Palmerston North, under Archdeacon C. C. Harper, and he is highly regarded as an earnest preacher and capable organiser. The new vicar eonnes to All Saints’ after twenty-seven years of service to the Church. Ho was educated at Lincoln Theological College and ordained deaJcon by the Bishop of Lincoln in 1902. He was ordaioed priest in 1904 by the Bishop of Wellington. He accepted an 'appointment as assistant-curate of All 'Saints’ at Palmerston North in 1902 and then was vicar of Foxton for five years. Since 1914, Rev. Mr. Wpodward has been vieajr ,of Karori, Wellington.
