ILLICIT DISTILLER FINED £2OO.

WOMAN OCCUPIER., £SO. Invercargill, Last Night. In the Police Court to-day, Edward Nichols, aged 35, was fined £IOO on each of two charges of unlawfully making spirits and of having in his possession an unlicensed still, or worm suitable for distilling. Accused pleaded guilty to both chairges. Mrs. M. O’Brien was fined £SO for occupying the premises on which the distillation was canned out. A recommendation is to be made to the Governor-General for a remission of the fine in whole or in part. 'The Magistrate reserved his decision in the case of Bayne Robertson, a young man who was found on the premises.
