PLUNKET CARNIVAL.
WIND-UP SOCIAL TO-NIGHT. The Plunket carnival effort will he brought to a close in the Town llal-1 to-night, when a social and dance will be held and the results of the votes announced. A .first-class programme of vocal and instrumental items will be submitted, interspersed with dancing, and supper will be provided. The admission will be gents 1/G, ladies I/-.
The following are the results of the raffles drawn at Oroua Downs: —Doll, Mr. F. Moffatt; brush, Mrs. Reay; slippers, Mrs. Nieol; Mrs. Hunter’s cake, Mr. Moffatt; box chocolates, Mr. J. Conlon jun. The raffles drawn at Foxton resulted as follows: —Mrs. Stevenson’s cake, Miss Hughes; handkerchief sachet, F. Spring; shirt, B. Satlierley; supper cloth, H. Spring-; table scarf, Mrs. J. G. Honore.
