WEDDING.

A wedding of local interest took place at the Manse, Lady’s Mile, on the evening of the 23rd of April, when Mams, second daughter of Air. and Mrs. Weathers ton, Dunedin, was united in the bonds of Holy Matrimony to James George Coley, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Colev, of Johnston Street, Foxton. Tim bride, who was given away by Air. G. F. Smith, wore a frock of cinnalmon silk, with tucked bodice and pleated skirt, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and fern. She was attended by Miss Elsie Coley, sister of the bridegroom, who rvas attired in a lace frock with tight-fitting bodice and full skirt, with velvet trimming at waist, and hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums. The Rev. W„ H. Nicholas was the officiating clergyman.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bridegrootm’s parents, when upwards of forty guests were entertained. The usual toasts were honoured, and dancing was indulged in until a late hour. The large number of presents received, including several substantial cheques, testified to the esteem in which the! young couple are held. Among the guests present were Mr. and Airs. White, of Petone, Air. and Airs. Donaldson, Turakina, Mr. and Airs. Turner and niece, AVlanganui, Airs. ,Hickson, Wellington, and Aliss Waters, IDannevirke. The happy couple left later ’by motor for Wellington. The bride’s travelling dress was a brown costume, together with navy fur trimmed coat, and navy hat. Air. and Airs. Coley will take up their residence in Foxton, and will have the best 'wishes of a wide circle of friends.
