SMALL BOYS AT FOOTBALL MATCHES.

REFEREE’S COMPLAINT. At Tuesday evening’s meeting of the management -committee of the Manawatu Rugby District. Council, the referee in last Saturday’s senior fixture between Old Boys and Feilding lodged a complaint against the encroachment of spectators upon the field of play. When the matter came up for discussion, it was stated that the offenders in this case were a number of small boys.

It was decided to admit all primary school pupils to the grandstand free of charge in an endeavour to “keep them out of -mischief.” The facts of the ease were to be placed before the sports masters of the schools. -
