CARNIVAL NOTES.
A very pleasant “all-sports” evening was 'held at the residence of Mr and Mrs D. Christie last evening 'under the auspices of the Sports Committee. The attendance was good, and those present took their choice between progressive euchre, quoits, table bowls and dancing on the lawn. A plentiful and tasty supper was provided and altogether a very enjoyable evening was spent. To-day the iCbuntry Committee are holding a shop day, and this evening a dance will be held in the Masonic Hall. On Tuesday the 23rd inst, the -Citizens committee will hold a grand finale plain and fancy dress masked ball at Moutoa Hall. Larkin’s full orchestra will protide the music, and buses will"run from all districts. Masks null be procurable on the buses and at the hall. The Sports Committee are holding a special euchre evening in the Town Hall supper-room to-night.
