FOXTON LUNCH CLUB.

The monthly meeting of the Foxton Lunch, Club was held to-day at White’s Hotel. The chair was occupied by Mr A. E. Scott and the speaker .was Mr F. A. Mason. There were present Messrs M. E. JPerreau, D. Christie, 8. H. Poole, W. S. Heyes, J. A. Aibehison, J. Martin, W. E. Bulliard, G. F. Smith, R, 0. Hornblow, G. Fraser, R. M. Parkes, F. H. Murray, Gibletit, F. C. Raikes, C. M. Hewett, H. E. Gailbett, Revs. Edmondson, Nicholas. Walton, and I. Corn .(secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs tV. E. Barber and R. Rangiheuea. Mr Jamieson (Palmerston N.) mas a visitor to the Club. Mr Mason took for his subject “The School, the child and the parent,” and spoke in a very interesting manner. The context of bis address will be published in our next issue. Mr Mason was accorded a vote of thanks at the conclusion of his speech, the motion being carried by acclamation.
