SUNDAY RAILWAY EXCURSIONS.

The popularity of . the Sunday railway excursions was again in evidence last 'Sunday, when over 2,000 excursionists travelled on the excursion trains provided between Wellington and Palmerston North. In view of this response, the Railway Department lias decided to repeat the excursions on Sunday next. The fares are at a very cheap rate; for instance, the return fare between Palmerston N. and Wellington is 5s second class and 7s first class. 'The rates between any two stations have been correspondingly reduced. The excursion trains will run on similar times to last Sunday, except that the return train fro(m Wellington will leave fifteen minutes later, i.e., 4.30 p.m., and arrive Palmerston N. at 8.15 p.m. An advertisement appears in another column.
