Mrs. W. Retter, of Wellington, is spending a holiday with Mrs. J. C. Retter, of Coley Street. Mr. and Mrs. H. Witehell, who have been residents of Otaki for some years, have taken up their residence at Muratai. Mrs. R. Allender, of Wellington, and Miss D. Lumb, of Dunedin, are at present on a holiday visit to Foxton as the guests of Mrs. J. K. Hornblow. The friends o'f Mrs. Craig, of Robinson Street, 'Will regret to learn that she is an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital where she will undergo a serious operation this week.

Mi-. W. Kirkland received word to-day from the secretary of the Wellington Municipal Tramway Band to the effect that the band would play a prograimme at the local seaside on Sunday.
