FIRE BRIGADE.

The local Fire Brigade are holding a shop day in Main Street today in an endeavour to raise funds to send ia team to the Hokitika demonstration to be held this month. A good assortment of produce, home-made cakes etc., are on sale. The Brigade desire to thank the following for donations: — Mr. A. G. Coughtrey £1 1/-, Air. G. F. .Smith 10/-. On Thursday evening three representatives from the local brigade will journey to Feilding .to compete for the Coley Shield in a billiard tournament.
