The charge of causing bodily harm to a patient at Porirua mental hospital brought against Henry Dixon Tyrer, an attendant in the institution, entered upon its final stage at the Supreme Court to-day before Mr. Justice Ilerdman and a juryThe jury retired shortly before the lunch adjournment and at 4.45 p.m. returned to the court, when the foreman stated that they were unable to agree and there was no chance of agreement. The jury was thereupon discharged and a new trial ordered for Monday next. Accused was allowed bail.
