HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLE. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 2nd instant, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — to Hemp. —Manila market dull and easier owing to the absence of buying interest. Closing value of “J” grade for February-_Apvil shipment is £37. Sisal .market quiet hut steady. No. 1 held for £43 10/-, but in absence of buyers probable value is £43. No. lin Great Britain sold at £4l, with better demand at the close up to £4l 15/- but no sellers. Mexican firm .with moderate business doing in special Brush at £4O 10/- and good white £37. , New Zealand market quiet and tendency easier. In the absence of business closing comparative values for January-March shipments are: —High points £36; fair £33 10/-; common £3l; 2nd- grade tow £22 10/- and 3rd grade £lB 10/-.
