LEVEL CROSSING FATALITY.

BALLAST TRAIN COLLIDES WITH CAR. WOMAN KILLED AND TWO CRITICALLY INJURIN'). Stratford, Last Night. A Avoman Avas killed and lavo girls terribly injured in a collision yesterday between an empty ballast train and a five-seater ear at the York road level crossing near Midhirst. The victims were:— Mrs. Mary Dodunski (53), driver of the car, ,and wife of Mr. Joseph Dodunski, of York Road, killed. Agnes Dodunski, daughter of the deceased, scalp injuries, fractured pelvis, and internal injuries. Mary D'omlbroski (7), granddaughter of Mji-s. Dodunski. Her injuries were a fractured skull and body bruises. The condition of both the injured is critical. Mrs. Dodunski Avas killed outright, Miss Dodunski was sitting in the front seat on the side struck by the engine, as also was the child, Avh'o Avas in the hack seat. Prior to the accident the car had been proceeding up Mountain road from Stratford parallel Avitli the railway line. Just south of the York Road intersection the road dips and a Anew of the line is difficult to obtain. Mrs. Dodunski evidently did not see the train approaching behind, and drove around the corner on to the crossing. The train was not a scheduled one, and this might account for the fact that a better lookout Avas not maintained.
