SWIMMING.

To-morrow evening R. Ball, J. and W. Hirini will endeavour to bring acquatic honours again to Foxton at the Manawatu Swimming Centre’s annual carnival, to be held in the Palmerston North Municipal baths. Harrison will not seek to retain his title to the Manawatu 100 yards championship. The local competitors have received the following handicaps: — Men’s dash, 33 1-3 yards: W. and G. Hirini both off scratch. Rex Ball syds. Youths under 18, 66 2-3 yards: G. and W. Hirini scr. W. and G. Hirini have also entered for the Manawatu 100 yards championship.
