MANAWATU AERO CLUB.

GOVERNMENT RECOGNITION. Wellington, January 25. Government recognition of the Manawatu Aero Club was sought by a deputation to the Minister of Defence (Hon. T. M. Wilford) to-day, introduced by Mr. Linklater, M.P., who Avas given the club an area of land for a landing site. Mr. Wilford said that the Government avould be pleased to recognise the club if it complied with the conditions, and also promised Cabinet consideration of the request that the Government should assist the club in the purchase of a machine.
