RAID ON ALLEGED GAMING HOUSE.

OCCUPIER IOIIARGED AND REMANDED. Senior-Sergeant Detective Q'uirke and Detective Russell, of Palmers'ton North shortly before noon today raided local premises and arrested Darcy Ball who was subsequently charged before Mr. J. K. Hornblow, J.P., with on January 26th, 1929, at Foxton, being the occupier of certain premises, to wit, a tobacconist shop in Main Street, Foxton, did use same as a common gaming house. Detective Quirk a skied for a remand to Palmerston North on Mquday next. The remand was granted and accused was released on bail of £IOO on his. own recognisance.
