FOXTON DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.
MA TRKTJ RATION EXAMIN A - TTON RESULTS.
The following pupils cf the local District High School were successful in passing the Matriculation Examination held last month: —
Malcolm Mason, Arthur Murphy, Arthur Stone, and Margaret Tyer. The following ex-pupils of Jhe school were also successful: —
Marjorie MeMurray and Jack Delaney. To all the above we extend our heartiest congratulations and particularly to the four first mentioned, all of whom, have received their secondary education at the local institution and were among the first pupils to enrol when the secondary department was established in Foxton three years ago. Their success reflects the greatest credit not only upon themselves but upon the school which aims to develop not only the academic but also the physical and moral training of our young people. It speaks well for the work done by both pupils and teachers alike, when it is stated that the four local candidates have accomplished in three years what takes the average pupil four years to carry through. The community as a whole will be pleased with the result and will we feel sure realize that the local High School is established on a solid foundation and is more than •holding its own in all its activities with similar institutions throughout the country.
