NEW YEAR CENTRE TOURNAMENT. The following rink friun Foxton will compete at the New Year’s Centre tournament to commence at Palmerston North on New Year’s Day:—W. Walls, M. H. Walker, D. Christie, J. M. Thomson (s). PAIRS TOURNAMENT. • On 'Christmas afternoon a pairs
tournament was held on the local green, seven pairs taking part. The competition consisted of three games of 12 heads eaeh 1 the results being as follows: — Messrs D. Christie and W. Walls, C, 15, 13, total 34; A. \V> Walls and James Ross, 11, 5, 12, total 29; W. Howe and O. Seadden, 10, 14, 9, total 33; F. Robinson and W. Trueman, 11, 12, 14, total 37; R. Heppner and H. Hamer, 9, 19, 10, total 38; J. ,M. Thomson and J. L. Christie, 18, 14, 10,.total 42; W. Nye and D. Clements, 18, 13, 20, total 51.
