SHANNON BRIDGE.
OPEN FOR TRAFFIC. •Motorists in general will he pleased to learn jthat the new bridge, whicli has been erected over the Manawatu River at Moutoa is now open ti v affi[c. This means that the punt which has formed the connecting link between both sides of the river on the Foxton-Shannon Main highway since the old bridge was washed away is now out of use and the new bridge will no doubt be welcomed by both the residents of Moutoa and the travelling public. An official .opening ceremonyjiyill be held early in the New Year.
