PLUNKET SOCIETY
The usual monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held on Wednesday afternoon in the Society’s rooms. Those present were: Mesdames F. Robinson (in the chair), Christie, Trueman, Wialton, A. Ross, Baker, Adams, and D. R. Barron (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Ogilvy and W. H. Smith (Moutoa). The Advisory Boafd (Messrs Perreau, Christie and Trueman), were also in attendance. The chairman (Mr. Perreau) advised the Society to hold over the question of site in the meantime, but to proceed to raise funds for the new rooms. When sufficient money was in hand, a suitable site would easily be found. Mr. Christie and Mr. Trueman also spoke in similar terms. Mrs. Robinson thanked the Board for their help and advice. It was decided to hold a Baby Carnival early in the year, the proceeds to go towards building the new rooms. Nurse’s visits to Foxton, 5; and to homes, 6. Total visits to office, 240. 'The usual vote of thanks to the chair ended the meeting.
