PARENTS’ DAY AT THE SCHOOL.

SUGGESTION OF HEADMASTER. At last night’s meeting of the Foxton District High School Committee, the headmaster (Mr. F, A. Mason) reported that the school had exhibited the woi<k of the pupils at the recent Horticultural Society’s summer show, hut said that iu future he intended to hold a parent’s day at the school when the work would be exhibited and the parents would have an opportunity of making an inspection of the school and seeing the pupils at work. He thought that this was a better idea- than exhibiting at the show as parents would be able to obtain a better insight into the manner in which the pupils were trained, Committeemen commented very favourably on the fine school exhibition at the show, and expressed their approval of the headmaster’s suggested innovation.
