FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Foxton Harbour Board was held in the secretary’s office yesterday, presided over by the chairman (Mr. J. Linklater, M.P.) Also present were Messrs J. A. Nash, M.P., Wj. E. Barber, H. Berry, A. Kellow and the secretary (Mr. R. Rangiheuea). Business of a routine nature was discussed and several transfers of beach leases approved. The pilot’s report on the state of the river was received. Accounts amounting to £437/8/6 were passed for payment. The financial statement was read and adopted. As this is the last meeting prior to the end of the year, the chairman extended festive greetings to the members, which were reciprocated by those present. The next meeting will be held in Palmerston North on January 14th.
