TENNIS CLUB.
A meeting of members of the Fox ton Tennis Club, presided over by Mr. L. iC. Bryant (president), was held on Thursday evening, when routine business was transacted and final arrangements made for to-day’s official opening of the courts. The following new’ members were elected: Mrs. Goodman, Messrs W. Thompson, G. Williams, and L. Evans. An invitation was received from the Levin Club to attend the opening of their courts and it was decided to accept th.e invitation. Miss Joan Mason and Master Nelson Walls, the boy and girl school champions, were granted free membership for the season. It was decided to forward a letter of thanks to Mr. €has. Fee for donating a trophy for junior players. SCHOOL TENNIS. The following are the results of the Foxton District High School primary tennis championships. BOYS’ CHAMPIONSHIP. First Round. —K. Final.—Joan Mason 20, Mary Thynne 7. The winner of the racket presented by Mr. J. Christie for the most improved player was Mary Thynne.
