CHURCH PARADE.

BY GUIDES AND SCOUTS

On Sunday morning the Girl Guides and Boy Scouts held their usual monthly parade, Guide Mistress Stevenson and Scoutmaster Warwick being in charge.. The parade was held at the Presbyterian Church and there was a large attendance of Guides, Brownies and Scouts. Mr. Nicholas took as his subject, “The Boyhood of Jesus.” He said that “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature.”' We might translate it into modern English and say “Jesus grew in mind and body.’ If, therefore, they were to accomplish any great task in life and live their lives in the best way they must follow the example of Jesus and grow in mind and body. Their minds must unfold in every way that is good, clean, and true. While their bodies must be developed by exercise and- work and used as God meant them to be used, for their health and His glory. Paul wrote to Corinthians: “Ye are the temples of the living God,” which meant that God is prepared to use both our minds and bodies as His temple. He urged them to give Him their best, for nothing but the best was good enough for Him.
