THEFT FROM WHARE.
TWO LOCAL YOUTHS COMMITTED TO PROBATION.
Tavo local youths, Edgar R. Coley and Frank Gay Avere charged before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., at the Courthouse this morning Avith the theft of a saucepan, a tin of tomato soup and tea, etc., to a value of 10/8, the property of Mr. Stan. Austin, from a Avliare on an island on Robinson’s lakes. Both youths pleaded guilty. Constable OAven stated that on the 13th August, the tAvo lads visited the lakes, procured a boat in which they l'OAved 0A r er to the island and broke into the whare and stole the articles mentioned. Coley, a second offender, Avas 18 years of age and Gay 17. Neither accused had anything to say and both were committed’ to probation for 12 months and ordered to pay for the goods stolen. Coley Avas warned that if he appeared before the Court again he Avoidd receive a sentence.
