THE HEMP MARKET.

In connection with the return showing the quantities, in bales, of hemp, tow, stripper tow and stripper slips, graded at the ports of the Dominion during the month of August, 1928, the chief hemp grader informs us that under the heading “Tow-Wiellington” ’ there should have been inserted the following details : 2nd grade, 141 bales; 3rd grade, 77 bales; total 218, making the total quantities of tow graded at all ports during the period 784 bales instead of 566. The decrease as compared with the year 1927 should be 890 bales and not 1108, as shown in the return.
