THE SOUTHERN CROSS.
MAY LEAVE THIS AFTERNOON. Weather conditions were too stormy again yesterday to permit the “Southern Cross” attempting the flight across the Tasman, but hopes are entertained by Kingsford Smith and his companions to hop off this afternoon at 5.30. Meteorological reports show that conditions are improving in the Tasman although a storm centre is located in the South Island near Christchurch.
