PLUNKET SOCIETY

MONTHLY MEETING.

The monthly meeting of the local branch of the Plunket Society was held yesterday afternoon, presided over by Mrs. F. Robinson. There were also present: Alesdames D. Christie, A. Ross, Trueman, Baker, Edwards, Perreau, Procter and the lion, secretary (Airs. Barron). Messrs Perreau, Christie and Barron, members of the Advisory Board, were also in attendance. Apologies for absence were received from Alesdames Chrystall, H. Adams and Ogilvy. Receipts from Air. I. Corn’s weighing machine totalled 3/7 for the month. Airs. Walton was appointed visitor for the month and Airs. F. Robinson flower steward. Remits for the conference were submitted and the local delegates were empowered to use their discretion in voting on same. The question of securing temporary rooms for the Society’s operations were discussed, and it was decided to remove into a room provided in Fairey’s buildings until the 'Society’s new offices are ready. The Advisory Board reported Hint inquiries were being made re new building which would he discussed at a later meeting.
