PRESENTATION
At Fahiatua on Friday evening, the Presbyterian congregation farewelled Mr. and Mrs. and Miss Stevenson, prior to their departure for Foxton. Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson fire well-known settlers of ICaitawa. The Rev. F. McDonald stated that everyone regretted their departure. They had endeared themselves' to all by their whole-hearted services to their church and district. He knew that they would he welcomed in Foxton. On behalf of St. Paul’s Presbyterian church lie then presented Mr. Stevenson with a Schofield reference Bible. Mr. Stevenson in reply, expressed I,is regret, at leaving Pahiatua and he thanked the congregation for their present to him and wished the church every progress for the future.
On behalf of the P.W.M.U. and Guild, Mrs. McDonald expressed regret that they were losing Mrs. Stevenson. She then presented her with a beautiful Oriental afternoon linen tea-set and to Miss M. Stevenson who had been organist at Kaitawa for a number of years, she I ■resented a trinket box. Mr. IT. D. Grocott endorsed the remarks of Ihe previous speakers and wished them all prosperity in their new •sj ill ere. . A musical programme was then rendered and supper dispensed.
