PLUNKET SOCIETY
The monthly meeting of the Foxton Plunket Society was held in the Plunket Room yesterday afternoon, presided over by Mrs. W. Trueman. Also present were Mesdames Christie, Baker, Perrean and the secretary Mrs .D. R. Barron. Apologies for absence were received from Mc-sdames W. Smith, Moutoa, M. B. Bergin and F. Robinson. The Foxton Borough Council wrote enclosing a cheque for £2 2s toward the funds. The secretary was instructed to write and thank -tlie Borough Council for their donation.
Mr. I. Corn’s box brought in 9/3 and the Plunket Room box 13/9A for the month.
Mrs. W. Trueman was appointed flower steward for the month.
0 The nurse's reports showed that visits had been made during May as follows: —To homes, (i; to tho Plunket Room, 267. For June: To homos, 8; to the Plunket Room, 142. Accounts totalling £lB 18s 9d were passed for payment.
