GIRLS MOLESTED
Christchurch, July 7
Several complaints have been made lately of molestation in suburban streets of young women by young men on bicycles. The latest ease is reported from Sydenham, and is more serious than usual. A girl aged 15 was returning to her
home in Sydenham on Thursday evening after her work when a young- than rode up on his'bicycle. He spoke to the girl, who took no notice, and continued on her way. He followed behind her, and when she was almost at her own gate he caught hold of her. There was a struggle, and the girl was thrown to the ground. The girl’s cries attracted attention, and the young man made off at the approach of other persons.
