TAXI-DRIVER ARRESTED.

SEQUEL TO FATALITY.

Rotorua, Last Night,

The inquest on John O’lConnor, who was killed on Friday, was opened on Saturday and adjourned sine die. A taxi-driver named Arthur Duncan, whose car was brought to a garage with a shattered windscreen and other signs of ill-usage on Friday night, and whose account was deemed unsatisfactory, was arrested and charged witji negligently driving a motor vehicle, thereby causing the death of John O’Counor.

At the Police Court Sergeant Hogan asked for a remand till July 17 which was granted. Bail was allowed in £2OO and two sureties of £IOO each.
