WEDDING
WHITEHEAD —BARTON
A very quiet wedding of interest to Foxton residents took place at the Presbyterian Church, Foxton, on Saturday, May 18th. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. H. Nicholas, when Agnes Marjory, only daughter of Mr and Mrs. William Barton, late of Foxton, was married to Alfred Jack, twin son of Mr. and Airs. James Whitehead, of Martinborough. The bride entered the church on the arm of her uncle, Mr. Gilbert Judd, and was attired in a frock of white crepc-dc-chine and silver lace and veil, and carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums. Mrs. Nicholas presided at the organ. Mrs. Judd acted as matron of honour. The reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Osborne, (friends of the ,bride), when the usual toasts were honoured. The couple left in the afternoon for the south where the honeymoon will be spent. Mr. and Mrs. Whitehead will subsequently take up their residence in Masterton.
